Los Angeles-based C3 (Creating Culinary Communities), the virtual restaurant effort which was founded by Sam Nazarian, said it is launching a new, entirely virtual brand, Radical Rooster's Chicken. The company said fried chicken brand is being launched in partnership with GrubHub, and will launch initially in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. Virtual restaurant brands only exist virtually, with no actual physical locations -- instead, customers can only purchase food from those restaurants through delivery apps, in this case, Grubhub. Instead of physical locations use "ghost kitchens", which actually cook and prepare food for multiple, virtual brands. Financial details of the deal between C3 and Grubhub were not announced.
