Joshin, a new, venture-backed startup developing a marketplace to connect disability care providers with families with specialized care needs, said this week that it has launched in Los Angeles and Seattle. The startup--based in Minneapolis--says it is backed by seed funding worth $3M from Anthemis Group and The Autism Impact Fund. The company says that it helps families with "complex health needs" including those with neurodiverse children to dependent adults with developmental and physical disabilities find care workers. The company said the new seed funding is funding its expansion to West Coast markets like LA and Seattle. The startup is led by CEO Melissa Danielsen. The company did not say if the launch into Los Angeles includes any local office or employees.
