VENTURE CAPITAL CASE COMPETITION
Calling all aspiring venture capitalists! The Impact Investing Group at UCLA is hosting a venture capital case competition sponsored by Startup UCLA. We are a student-run VC scouting program, focused on sourcing impact-driven startups and generating both positive impact and financial returns. In this competition, teams will:
 
- Learn the ins and outs of being a VC, from sourcing to due diligence and writing investment memos
- Connect with professional VCs from across the nation from California Crescent Fund, GSV, Darling Ventures, and Stanford Angel Investors
- Present a socially and/or environmentally impactful startup of choice
- Win up to $200, second place $100, and third place $50 in cash and Amazon gift cards

Teams from Innovate@UCLA's Young Tech Professionals Tech Bootcamp will showcase their social impact project pitches! 
About: Student teams have been working on their projects since the beginning of April. Industry professionals coached the students and guided them through the solution implementation. Speakers and other experts were also brought in each week to educate the students on digital and business topics such as Design Thinking, Data Analytics, UI/UX Fundamentals, How to Pitch, etc. Projects center on four themes: CleanTech, EdTech, HealthTech, and SmartCityTech.
