Original Wood Case Apple-1 Computer Goes Up For Auction

An original, wood paneled Apple-1 computer — originally owned by a professor at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga — is going up for auction, according to a local auction house, John Moran Auctioneers. According to the auction company, the “Chaffey College Apple-1” is estimated at $400,000 to $600,000. The auction company said the computer–which is now owned by a student of the professor who originally purchased the Apple-1–was purchased in 1977 by the student for $650 when the professor upgraded to an Apple-II.
