Park Place Payments Finds $1.5M

Los Angeles-based Park Place Payments, a fintech startup focused on payment processing, disclosed on Tuesday that it has raised $1.5M in a seed funding round. The funding was led by Curate Capital. Park Place is led by founder and CEO Samantha Ettus. Park Place Payments says it offers up payment processing solutions for small businesses, and also is simultaneously creating jobs and income opportunities for women. The company is both female-founded and female-led. Park Place said other investors in the seed funding round includedd Katherine August-deWilde (former President and current Vice Chair, First Republic Bank), Anne Clarke Wolff (former Global Head of Investment Banking, Bank of America), Jackie Shoback (Co-Founder, 1414 Ventures and former GM, Staples Online), Lisa Stone (Managing Director, WestRiver Group and Co-Founder, BlogHer), Jason Levien (CEO & Managing General Owner, DC United), and XFactor Ventures.
