SUMMER ACCELERATOR TEAM SPOTLIGHT: CREWLAB
Meet the CrewLAB team! The team is comprised of Dominic Pardini, Simon Hoadley, Tim Maytom, Marina Pardini, David Kerns, Peter Frederick, Jon Chou, and Bridget Hoadley – five of whom are UCLA alums. They’ve been working together on CrewLAB for over a year and are currently participating in the 2021 Summer Accelerator.

CrewLAB is on a mission to build better rowing teams by equipping coaches with tools that help them work smarter. The idea for CrewLAB arose when founders experienced the struggles of managing a rowing team while athletes/coaches at UCLA and could not find a solution on the market to fit their needs. Fitness apps like Strava focused on the individual rather than the team and management tools like G Suite were cumbersome and generic.

Today, CrewLAB is working with members of the rowing community to build a solution that helps coaches communicate training plans, understand athlete performance, and foster a strong sense of community in their team. So far during the Summer Accelerator, CrewLAB has been building out features on their app, running their LabCats rowing team using the CrewLAB app, and growing their customer base. Within the next year, they’d like to have several teams using the CrewLAB app and be making a positive impact on the rowing community.
