WE’RE HIRING INTERNS!
Startup UCLA is hiring 1-2 paid student interns to assist with our programs: Blackstone LaunchPad, Bruin Impact, Faculty Innovation Fellows, & Summer Accelerator. We are looking for UCLA undergraduate students who are interested in entrepreneurship, marketing, and events, are comfortable working in a startup environment, and have some flexibility with schedule. Interns will work approximately 10+ hours per week and will be expected to be both team players and independent workers, manage multiple projects, and have great communication skills. 

Data/Website Intern: will update the website with event and news content, collect and analyze data, and support the launch of a new community platform. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with Airtable, Excel, Google Docs/Drive, and Slack, and have experience with data analytics and website creation/design/updates.
 
Social Media Marketing Intern: will analyze data from social media campaign performance, strategize and implement best practices for digital marketing, create social media posts and our email newsletter, and more. Ideal candidates will have graphic design experience, understand how to use Canva/Photoshop, have experience on social media platforms, and have excellent writing skills.

As UCLA transitions to on-campus activities this year, interns will be working primarily in-person at Covel Commons, Room 203 (one evening shift and one afternoon shift a week is required). Reception and monitoring space usage by students/student groups during evening and afternoon shift will be required. Tabling at events on campus will be required.

ROSEN is seeking an Email Manager! 
At ROSEN, we’re creating the next generation of mass acne care. Research around acne + the customers have changed a ton since 1990, but the products haven’t. It’s time to change the way we think about breakouts. We’re looking for an organized, quick-responding, action-oriented person to manage our influencer email account. This role will include facilitating influencer posts, communicating updates with influencers and compiling influencer feedback. This Email Management position will manage the overall relationships and timely responses for our influencer and referral community. Future Founders U.Pitch
What: A prestigious national elevator pitch competition where top collegiate founders showcase business ideas to accomplished entrepreneurs and investors.
About: A virtual competition, giving you a chance to win $10,000. Contestants will present their virtual pitches live to a panel of entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders. In addition to the winners selected by our panel of judges, all participants will be eligible for the People’s Choice Award. The 2021 U.Pitch National Elevator Pitch Competition & Showcase will stream live globally on November 10.

2021 Net Impact Consulting Challenge 
What:
Net Impact is seeking client applications!
About: In this three-week pro bono consulting engagement, nonprofit organizations and social enterprises can receive strategic and operational guidance from MBA students to address challenges in fiscal management, operations, marketing, and leadership transition. Prior projects have included: developing strategies for new revenue streams, aligning technology with the organization’s operations, and developing marketing strategies for target populations, to name a few.

XPRIZE Carbon Removal
What: A four-year competition aimed at tackling climate change by asking global innovators to develop solutions that can pull carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere or oceans. 
About: XPRIZE, organized by Musk Foundation, will be awarding $20 million dollars in the first year of the competition, so make sure to take advantage of this early funding for your carbon removal solution!

Wayfinder Incubator Program
What:
 Wayfinder Incubator at UCI Beall Applied Innovation connects UC-affiliated startups with a rich collection of no-cost resources needed to launch, grow and succeed.
About: The focus is on redefining the path of entrepreneurship education and the mindset of researchers. It is expected that your startup team has engaged with other entrepreneurial support resources available through UC schools, centers, and programs. Your team will be evaluated for fit based on progress goals, program expectations, and mentoring needs.

RevHub Incubation
What: RevHubOC supports social entrepreneurs find the resources, capital, and expertise they need to accelerate their mission over the 6-month program

What: An accelerator program geared toward helping early-stage entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, attract capital investment and receive mentorship.
About: Entrepreneurs selected for Friends & Family will receive a $20,000 cash grant with an opportunity to be awarded more during the program, and participate in a twelve-week virtual boot camp in early 2022 that focuses on entrepreneurial management and personal coaching from top executives, startup legends, and industry titans.

WBENC 2021 Collegiate Women of Color Grant Powered by Cummins
What: WBENC and Cummins, Inc. are excited to team up to provide business grants and educational opportunities to minority female student entrepreneurs and recent graduates.
About: The grant program will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place financial grants of $10,000, $7,000, and $3,000 to minority female entrepreneurs currently enrolled in college or university, or recently graduated. Grant awardees will also have the opportunity to receive specific training for business owners sponsored by Cummins.

Venture Accelerator at UCLA Anderson
What: The Anderson Venture Accelerator offers a curated and immersive experience customized by vertical for early-stage startups. Approximately 10 companies are accepted per cohort.
About: The program runs once a year and offers one-on-one mentoring by UCLA Anderson alumni, weekly workshops that focus on the “how-to,” connections to capital, and regular networking events to engage with the Los Angeles startup ecosystem. Companies that participate in the cohort will have the opportunity to pitch and fundraise at the Venture Accelerator’s fall showcase.

Put it to the Test: Design the Future of Point of Care Testing
What: The goal is to help underserved communities get better access to healthcare by proposing improved Point-of-Care products or services. 
About: In addition to $10,000 in cash prizes, winners will receive a guaranteed interview with Thermo Fisher Scientific. Thermo Fisher Scientific will also make a donation to the winning individual or team’s nonprofit of choice. If you decide to form a team with up to two other competitors, you will get an opportunity to create a stronger submission through your teammates’ complementary skill sets and viewpoints. 2021 Baylor New Venture Competition
What:

About: The John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise will host the eleventh annual Baylor New Venture Competition on March 24-26, 2022 at Baylor University’s Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. Global Student Entrepreneur Awards Competition
What:
 Chapters and partners of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) will host competitions at the local and national levels, which will serve as qualifying events in the competition journey to the GSEA Global Finals.
About: You must be enrolled  in a university/college as an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application atleast part-time. You must be the owner, founder or controlling shareholder of your student business. Your student business must have been in operation for at least six consecutive months prior to the application generating income.
