Los Angeles-based Ziff Davis (which until recently was known as J2 Global) has spun out its cloud computing business, Consensus Cloud Solutions, into a new, publicly traded company. According to Consensus, it began trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol CCSI on Friday. Consensus is being led by CEO Scott Turicchi. Ziff Davis/J2 Global continues to also be publicly traded on the Nasdaq as ZD. Consensus said the spinout was made through a pro-rata distribution to Ziff Davis stockholders of 80.1% of the outstanding shares of Consensus on October 7, 2021.
